I won't change my boundaries

Floral Gouache - Lauren Radke
The dancing flames entice the baby to scooch or crawl over to the fireplace anyway he can. With Mom and Dad nearby, redirection is the correction. The next twenty years involve constant guidance from loved ones, so the child knows right from wrong. Faltering is natural of course, and some of what we are taught is subjective, which we learn as we grow. Education and new understandings can change our line in the sand. Some people hover or cross this boundary all the time, while others remain far from it. At a certain point, the line should never to be crossed.
Eventually we find that some things parents and other adults taught us are not harmful to others, while some behaviors remain detrimental. And now, we have another story. Do not ask others to do your bidding to harm others.
Any lack of help in requested negative behavior is not lack of support for you. Being a lifetime friend or family member does not grant
do anything for you devotion. It is an automatic NO - which I didn't even need to think about it.
Though you may not agree with my sets of right and wrong, my identity has not altered to unreliable and untrustworthy. That suggestion hurts.
I welcome your thoughts or sharing of your own experiences. lauren
