Sometimes we just need a place to go, an escape- if only temporary.

A picture on the wall transports us if only through viewing a painting or photo of our special place.

We know we can't run away forever,

But a short respite refreshes us and regroups us while visiting our special spot.

With no lack of destinations, some residing just beyond my back door. Pictures are scattered all about the house allowing me solace in every room.

Reality never forgets to tap me on the shoulder, so I never lose touch. When I return though, I always feel better.
