Uggh!! was always my reaction upon seeing a story problem, and I know I am not alone. If a star is residing before the number 10, we know this problem is more challenging. Help is on the way! Having a multiple-choice answer in front of you relieves the anxiety unless one option is D. None of the above.
Four people utilizing the entire width of the sidewalk are heading north at 2 mph. Two people heading south on same sidewalk at 3 mph. With ten feet left until contact, what should happen? A. Polite people make room for one another. B. Crash. C. Those with more in the group have the right of way. D. This shouldn't need to be a question.
The day is perfect, warm, and sunny as we explore some local breweries looking for the one with oysters. A hidden gem is found, a beautiful riverfront park, seemingly in the middle of no man's land. Turn left, turn right, R, R, L, R, L, L. Where are we going? Our route looks like a dumping zone on Dateline. No need to worry, Jeff loves Dateline, but he is harmless. We spot a toddler, barely two feet tall, his calves are bright red at 4 pm. Don't the young parents realize the dangers of sunburn or at least the pain? They will be sorry on this sleepless night.
Though I prefer my feet on the ground, we switch off as Jeff loves sitting at the bar. I'll let my feet dangle at times. Sitting at a bar for a meal usually means a friendly exchange or two with those close by. Choose a table if you are emanating hateful vibes. And please don't comment how my food looks burnt.
Though I never would pass out unsolicited advice, I wish I could pass out some basic knowledge to clueless people. A coin dispensary like the Good Humor man wore may be a perfect solution filled with coins of basic manners and important need to know facts. I may need more than one.
