I had it, then I lost it - so frustrating

I had it, then I lost it. I also had a painting chosen to go with the story I can no longer find on the computer. No doubt the issue is my technological incompetence as the story was done a couple weeks ago waiting its turn in Outlook. I doubt this painting went in the rubbish heap with my purge a few months back, but who knows. My unmatted paintings are organized into different categories though I do not have a box labeled sweet little four-year-old girls. Either I absolutely remember something, or I have no clue. And if I tell you I have no idea, we won't find it unless we happen upon it. I rely on a picture forming in my head of where something is placed, and this film is blank. Or maybe just overexposed. Another top to bottom studio cleanse could procure the painting and if it does, I will share. For now, the rainbow is my substitute because I need to have some hope.
All I see are the whites of his eyes and it pains me to look, knowing how it would pain me to replicate the eye roll. Seven-year-old Jamie loves putting his eyes back and holding them while suggesting "you try it Grandma". I bet many households heard the phrase, while occupied with teenagers, "If you're not careful, they are going to stick back there". My house was no exception, yet my recollection is the phrase was directed towards a sibling more than me. Probably wishful thinking on my part and I shouldn't make her to take unnecessary blame. Growing up can be difficult to navigate, especially the teenage years. If eyerolling is the worst thing our kids do, our problems are simple.
