Do you trust your instincts?

Since I was about ten years old I have been fascinated by old movies. Maybe Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Cary Grant and Gregory Peck contributed. Fifty years later they are as handsome and ageless as ever. TCM is always my go to channel as I still love old movies. Since we now splurge and have recording options, I can hit the info button for a general synopsis of any film and see the cast of characters. From there I am able to determine other films the actors are in. Though I don't wish to live in this bygone era, I must admit I am fascinated by the term "DAH-ling" used so pervasively. Dah-ling is so dramatic and so different from our current communications. The info button has now transcended to my dreams or should I say nightmares. A round circle appears looking like a negative in the dark room, accompanied by the eerie red light. What is black appears white, what is white shows as black, and a thin gray line outlines the circle. During the dream I hit the button and it alerts me if the person I see is good or evil. During the day I rely on my intuition to determine this, though likely all of us have been wrong a time or two. As he enters the store, the hair on the back of my neck stands up. The hulking 6'6" figure always makes me feel nervous even though I never wait on him. He only wants Dan or Jeff. They can have him! Once, after many years of these feelings, I mention my fear to Dan, and he tells of the bullet hole scars on Louie's torso. Confirmation of my feelings. Years later while having a meeting in the office, on the camera we see him throw his bike ten or fifteen feet across the parking lot like a shotput. Turns out he is mad because something was broken on the bike, and his shooting at it a few times didn't solve the issue. I learn to stay close to the phone in case 911 ever needs dialing during his presence. But like my nightmares, I wonder if I would be able to find the numbers on the phone. When I press the info button for this painting I am working on, the synopsis would say - black, white, grey and blue floral, yet that is not what you see. The colors drift elsewhere. Should be interesting to see its outcome as the final colors are directed by my intuition which I have learned to trust.
