Perfect May Day - originally posted 5.8.20

Beginning in April 2020, I began sending weekly texts to friends and family during the initial Covid lockdown. I was glad to have a purpose on Fridays of sending the painting and its story. This was originally sent May 8th.
Spring is my favorite season as the blooming flowers emerge and change each week. One of the best places to view these changes is with a drive down Lakeshore with so many varieties of trees and flowers. Some homes have such large lots that they have a sea of blue snow glories or field of yellow daffodils. I relish this delightful experience and anticipate it each year. Leisurely, I take the extra time driving this route even though it is out of the way to get home. When temperatures are warm, the views can change almost daily so it is important to make the time. Out one window I see pink, white, yellow and red, and out the other the calming waters of Lake St. Clair. I hope you find time to enjoy the views before they disappear until next year. Have a great week!
I welcome your thoughts or sharing of your own experiences. lauren
